ACTIVE PROJECTS - REGIONAL NSW
Creative Careers
FEBRUARY 2024 - FEBRUARY 2025
-
90% of regional young Australians said there were not enough opportunities to work in the area where they live and many don't believe what they learned at school helped them find the job they want.
-
This program will empower regional youth in Hunter Valley with a clear pathway towards achieving dreams.
Through career design and ‘job-creation’ projects, they will explore meaningful work-based experiences.
This is an NSW-first platform for regional youth to find belonging, access life-changing career support, and create their own employment.
-
We will empower regional youth in NSW to overcome employment barriers by:
Providing bespoke career and employment guidance for regional young Australians, especially through unconventional careers as young artists or entrepreneurs
Teaching young people essential interpersonal, employability and life skills using entrepreneurship
Developing their numeracy and financial literacy skills, whilst introducing them to entrepreneurial and business foundations and encouraging ‘job creation’ experiences
